For none of us lives for ourselves alone, and none of us dies for ourselves alone. If we live, we live for the Lord;
and if we die, we die for the Lord. So, whether we live or die, we belong to the Lord. For this very reason, Christ died and returned to life so that he might be the Lord of both the dead and the living.

Romans 14: 7-9

About Her

A life is not measured by its years, but by the love it leaves behind. This is the truest testament to her life. She was a woman defined by love; her world revolved around her family, and her heart had an endless capacity for people and children.

This deep love found its truest expression in the beautiful family she built. A devoted mother to her children—Dovan ‘Brooks’ Lawson and Tabitha Lawson from her marriage to Dovan ‘Bobby’ Lawson, and her youngest, Samantha McCalla—she found her greatest joy in her four beloved grandchildren: Zachary, Alex, and Tabbieann from her son Dovan; and Jayden from her daughter Tabitha. Her family’s story and her lineage will be carried on by all of them, with her youngest, Samantha, and her husband, Ryan McCalla, adding to it for generations to come. Her memory will forever be a source of love and light for the family she held so dear.
